So if you’re considering getting into this wonderful game, we’d like to share a few things we like and dislike. Before we begin, please like and subscribe, it truly means the world to us.

Dislikes

Learning Curve

Warframe bogs you down with just too much information. After a few quick tutorials, the game quickly lets go of your hand, and thrusts you into the universe to fend for yourself. This is a huge hurdle for newer gamers to overcome.

Confusing Story

Warframe’s deep lore makes it difficult to hook newer players. Building to a big reveal is great but Warframe could flesh out the motivations of the Tenno and their enemies earlier in the game.

Heavy Grind

As a free-to-play game, all content is available to you if you’re willing to put in the time to grind. While some find this a fair trade, others are turned off by the excessive repetition required to obtain specific resources to progress.

Microtransactions

Most cosmetics and rewards can be earned through gameplay, but Platinum, Warframe's premium currency bought with real money can be used to purchase Warframes and weapon slots, deluxe cosmetics, and to speed up crafting times of weapons, companions, equipment and Warframes, which can take up to 72 hours.

Performance

Warframe runs on a modified version of Digital Extreme’s proprietary game engine and graphically, it’s showing its age. While the game may still look good and run smoothly, the multiplayer connection uses a peer-to-peer network, which sometimes can cause stuttering and a lot of frustration when a host leaves the session.

Free-to-play done right. With a fair monetisation system it is possible to experience all Warframe has to offer, without ever spending a dime. Warframe is a game that respects and rewards your time when you grind.

Deep Customization

Your Warframe, your play-style! It’s a build-crafters dream. Warframe mods, weapon mods, companion mods, sentinel mods, focus mods, mod capacity mods. Once you get cooking, you get nuking!

Fluid Combat

Sprint, slide, bullet jump, skateboard and fly. The game’s mobility, parkour, and combat mechanics are some of the fastest in the looter-shooter space. Warning! Other looter-shooters are going to feel sluggish after Warframe.

Updates

About every 3 months, new Warframes are released alongside content drops, usually with one major yearly update, keeping the game fresh. Digital Extreme also maintain strong communication with the community through social media and livestreams.

Community

Live-service games live and die on the health of its community. You’ll find that Warframe has one of the most welcoming player bases. And Tennos, largely remain generous with their time, knowledge and resources.
